There are four official border passes where foreigners ( Non Thai , Non Myanmar ) can pass : one is at Ranong at the south of Thailand , the 2nd one is at Sangklaburi ( three pagoda pass ) in Kanchanaburi province, the 3rd one is at Mae Sok in Tak province and the 4th pass is at Mae Sai in Chiang Rai province in the north of Thailand.
Although at some times foreigners could pass at other minor border check points , there is no official confirmation for those cases. Even for the above mentioned four border passes things could change without prior notice. Especially for the formalities on Myanmar Immigration part , things might sometimes look different from what you read on the books and web sites. Therefore we don't show here the detailed immigration procedure.
